On February 24-26, 2023, Onesimo Bulilit Foundation conducted a 3-day Family Retreat at Onesimo Farm and Campsite in Brgy. Matalingting, Laguna with a total of 163 participants (55 adults and 108 Children) composed of 37 families from the Community-Based Program, Tondo, Manila. The family retreat aims at strengthening and deepening the relationship between children and their parents and increasing their knowledge of responsible parenthood.

There were various activities in store for them like morning devotion, family sessions on Character and Positive Discipline, games, fun, and talents night to strengthen the relationship of a family. The family sessions were led by Counselors and Asst. Counselors. During the talents night, each group of families prepared and showed their skills and talents in acting, dancing, and singing. Many parents enjoyed the activities because apart from the fun, knowledge, and rest they experienced, they were also satisfied with Gardenia Breads. Each family received 2 loaves of Gardenia Bread, and they also brought the bread to their homes.

This special event happened because of the goodness of God and many parents say that the Family Retreat has helped them because it was the only opportunity for them to go out and bond with their children without paying anything. In various photos, we can see the joy on the faces of the parents and children because, after 3 years, the family retreat was conducted again. The children and their families were so grateful that they had been part of this event.
